Job Title: Project Manager Job Code Reference: PM Job Description: - The Project Manager, in tandem with one or more assigned Field Superintendents, plans, supervises the construction of and administrates the work. He represents the Company to all of it's partners in a professional and friendly manner. He is accountable for meeting or exceeding the budgeted gross profit on the work, while optimizing his project(s) requirements for limited resources of the Company in concert with other Company projects. All of the above must be accomplished within the Company's online standardized systems and procedures established by the Company related to the Project Management function.
Specific duties include: - Review and approval of estimates prepared by estimating department
- Conduct initial job review with assigned field superintendent(s)
- Buyout of the job - review and approve related purchase orders and subcontracts
- Export of final budget to Company's accounting system
- Contract administration including incoming invoice and payment application approval, labor and equipment time sheet review and approval; outgoing payment application preparation and management
- Change order administration
- Attend all project related meetings with Company partners
- Cost and quantities control - regular job cost review and projection (at least monthly) of estimated cost at completion by budgeted line item
- Conduct frequent job cost status reviews with related field superintendent(s)
- Conduct post job review with President and related field superintendent(s)
Education Requirements: - Minimum Associates Degree, prefer four year Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree; although in special cases "on the job" education may be substituted
Experience Requirements: - 7 or more years experience in our industry managing roadwork, commercial and/or residential sitework (infrastructure) and/or golf course construction
Special Skills Desired: - Hard Dollar (EOS or Bid/Build) or HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Systems- intermediate. Bid-2Win or QUEST Estimating systems also acceptable.
- Microsoft Excel - intermediate
- Microsoft Windows XP - working knowledge
- AGTEK - working knowledge
- TerraModel - understanding of
- AutoCad - ability to extract for interface with TerraModel and AGTEK
- StreetSmarts Advantage - prefer exposure to and prior use of, but Viewpoint or Forefront experience also helpful
